One thing leads to another

In addition to snow dyeing a bit of fabric, I just had to have a go with some threads as well.

of course, I wanted to stitch something with them to see the effect on cloth.
Deciding what to stitch?..... I drew this dragonfly
hand stitched with my new multi-coloured thread.....I like it!

This one, blue/green dyed threads stitched on my dyed fabric, became a pin cushion.

Then,..... well...... you know I could not resist doing a complete doodle

I love snow dyeing, but never thought about throwing some thread into the mix. You stitchery is gorgeous with your beautiful threads!!! Not sure if you have give it a try, but I thow a piece of fabric under the rack when snow dyeing, and I get a bonus piece of fabric. I was kind of surprised at what comes out of all the muck that's left after the melting.

Hi, Jill. Lovely colors and design. I don't think I'll ever get to dying thread, but I certainly do like to admire others' experiments. I enjoyed visiting your very creative blog.

Hello~
I have to tell you, your snow-dyeing is the lovliest of all I've seen.
I've done a bit, but nothing has turned out quite that beautiful...
Could it be that I lay my fabric flat instead of scrunching it? I try to keep colours harmonious, but sometimes they muddy up....
perhaps a lighter hand at applying?
Your posts are always inspiring, thanks so much!

Lovely fabric and thread. I am also doing some snow dyeing. It is really fun to see what you get.
I better hurry and keep dyeing....one of these days the snow is going to start melting...and not stop.
